Featured Programs For Spring and Summer 2010
Mountaineering in the Northwest

Summer is the perfect season to learn alpine and glacier climbing. Join a 6-Day Alpine Mountaineering Course or a 12-day Alpine Mountaineering and Leadership Course in the spectacular North Cascades of Washington. Learn climbing technique for rock & ice, safe glacier travel procedures, mountaineering leadership, and climb to the summit of major peaks.

Learn to Lead
Free yourself from that annoying top-rope! In this course, gym leaders and outdoor top-rope climbers learn the nuances of gear placement and protection systems. Offered year-round in the Southwest and during the summer months in Washington and British Columbia.
Professional Programs
Earn the AMGA Single Pitch Instructor (SPI) Certification. Courses and exams run during the summer in Washington and year-round in the Southwest. The Mountaineering Instructor Program offers aspiring guides a complete curriculum to jump-start a career in the mountains.
Bolivia
Join all or part of our three-part Boliva trip to climb major summits in Bolivia's Cordillera Real. This variable-length program usually begins with an acclimatization trek and culminates with an ascent of 21,201-foot Nevado Illimani.
Denali
Now is the time to register for a Denali Expedition if you intend to join one of AAI's 2010 programs. Most climbing teams still have spaces available, but they will fill as the weeks go by. If you need some additional cold weather or expedition skills training, join our Denali Prep programs in the Cascades in March and April.
Sierra
Climb Whitney and other classics! Join us to explore the "Range of Light." Advance your mountaineering, alpine ice, or rock skills on a course, or come for a series of ascents. Mt. Whitney ; Alpine Mountaineering & Leadership 9-day course; Intro to Mountaineering 5-day course; Guided Ascents at all levels.
